My friends were hosts to a fundraiser dinner/ birthday party to benefit Pryor's Planet. It's a non-profit organization dedicated to helping grassroots efforts in saving lives, providing sanctuary, and making the world a better place for all creatures.
Festivities started at 3:00pm with food, drinks, and mingling among the supporters. The day was "HOT" and the La Canada fires were out of control for the last two days. Everyone seemed to be in great spirits despite the uncomfortable high temperatures and grayish film of smoke coming from the canyons that were miles and miles away. Almost one hundred people were there to support this event.
Loida Alegre Catering donated a gift certificate worth over $800.00 for the cause. It was the highest bid prize among the other prizes! Thank you all for those who supported this cause.
Loida, thanks for having such a big heart and providing such a generous donation! You are not only a fine chef, but a fine person.
